Darrel Stoesz

Designer/Sales

Darrel Stoesz has been in the cabinet industry since 1983 and started out after Business College as a representative for Kitchen Craft of Canada for 10 years and 4 years as a sales manager in the U.S market after being transferred to Minneapolis. His involvement with product development, marketing and training of staff makes him a very experienced member of our designer staff. Darrel’s is known as the person who has a great deal of knowledge about the industry and manufacturing and can visualize problem solving ideas from an internal standpoint and loves to come up with creative ideas to make things work better.

Darrel has been at The Kitchen Showcase since 1994 and has steadily been someone who has gained a large following of repeat and referral clientele and specializes in large custom projects. Although no project is too small, he enjoys the challenges in all areas of the home. Custom cabinetry is sometimes the answer but more often than not, he makes semi custom cabinetry look and feel like custom to preserve the customer’s budget.

Darrel has recently had opportunities for television work and does most of the cabinetry work on the Rescue Renovation TV series on DIY network and continues to be asked to magically meet the requests that raise the bar of creativity.

He also was a judge on another HGTV series called professional grade as well as being asked to provide opinions and write articles for our industry magazine. He says these are very enjoyable challenges and welcomes the opportunities to expand his horizons.

He strives for his designs to have a certain consistency to them that seem to make recognizable and tries to achieve a common sense efficiency and warmth but with a flair for the unexpected to make each design more of a work of art than just another project. He loves the contributions of his customers, designers and contractors to make each project a team effort and a purchase to be happy about for many years to come.

Darrel’s family is very important to him although they would say he works too hard, time with family and friends are is always a fun event. Darrel’s wife is a 1st grade teacher; oldest son is finishing his Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences, daughter who is a RN and labor and delivery nurse and youngest daughter is a sophomore at Denver University majoring in Business. Higher education has always been a top priority and was especially modeled by his wife, Ella.
